Here I was in Hawaii, sitting
at poolside and bored. I never thought I'd get bored in a wonderful
place like Hawaii, but I was.
I wondered where I could go when the cell phone in theWoodie
started to ring. It was my friend Teddy from Austraila. Her
mom was going off on Holiday and she thought I'd like to come over and
see her wonderful country. You bet, Teddy!
I grabbed the Woodie and headed west.

Here I am sailing into the harbor in
the Woodie. That cool thing in the background is the Opera House. |
I had to stop at a beach first to have
a swim. |
|
|
I arrive at Teddy's place. |
Its decided that we'll head off to the nearby beach and
spend the day swimming.
|
We pull up and get a primo spot. |
We swim and hang out for a couple of hours. These
girls like to swim almost as much as I do. The people on the beach
were very friendly though a bit curious at a Woodie full of Labs.
Teddy and I thought it would be fun to
chase this guy down the beach in the Woodie. |

|
It was getting late so we headed back
to their house. |
That first night in Austrailia was wonderful. We
sat around and talked, barked and yipped for hours. Of course, I
was the yipping one. I couldn't help it. I was so excited
to be there.
In the morning while eating my kibble, I happened to see
in the local paper that the Oscar Meyer Weiniemobile was in Austrailia.
The others were still sleeping, but I began to yip in excitement!
I managed to muffle the yips by putting my tail over my mouth. I
decided I was going to see if I could "borrow"
the Weiniemobile.
I quickly finished my breakfast and went out and fired
up the Woodie. What was I thinking? I couldn't take the Woodie.
How was I going to drive them both back to Teddy's house?
I left the Woodie in their driveway and started on foot.
I trotted awhile and came to where the Weiniemobile was stored.
I strolled in as nonchalant as I possibly could.
Nobody paid any attention to me so I walked over to the Weiniemobile.
I looked around again and nobody was paying any attention to me.
I leaped in, hot-wired it and laid
rubber getting out of there!
I took off down the street fully expecting a pursuit. |
|
I looked in the rear view window and was surprised nobody
was after me. I sped back to Teddy's house where they had just woken
up.
I tell you what! Soot was a bit ticked off that
I had taken the Weiniemobile.
Teddy, Claude and Ash didn't care. They just
wanted a ride in it. So we left Soot home and rode around town. |
|
|
By this time word had gotten out that
I was in town and suspected of swiping the Weiniemobile. The
crowds lined the street supporting me. |
About that time my cellphone rang and it was Kirsten who
is the mom of Teddy, Claude and Ash. It seems that Soot had called
her to let her know what I had done and Kirsten ordered me to take her
girls home immediately. They were pretty bummed and begged their
mom to let them stay. She wouldn't relent.
After dropping them off, I thought it best to get out
of town.
I headed for the Outback. |
|
|
I found a cozy spot and camped there
for the night. |
