Bad Bad Me!

The Woodie has a cell phone in it and on Wednesday October 8, 2003 I received a phone call from my mom.  She told me she had entered me in the WC at the National in St. Louis, MO.  She asked me to meet her there.  Even though I already had my WC, I agreed.  I fired up the Woodie and headed to St. Louie!

This is the arch as I whizzed by it

I hoped I wasn't going to get into trouble while in St. Louis.  They like Budweiser since its made there, but I'm more of a Molson girl.  I had a cooler full in the back of the Woodie.  I was also wearing my Red Wings' sweater.

I sat around for a few days while Mom showed Libby and Molly in conformation. I did get to meet my friend Karen, who is also known as Retrieverlady.   I was bored after awhile and went to see some of the sites in the Woodie.  St. Louis certainly wasn't ready for a Lab that drives a Woodie!

I tooled around the riverfront for a bit.

Then I went and saw the Walnut Park school.

This is a beautiful park I cruised through.

I loved looking at the trees in this garden.

Here I am in front of the old courthouse.

Mom then called me and told me to get to the WC.  The people in charge didn't have a dog to serve as the test dog so mom volunteered me for the job.  Boy, she's feeling pretty brave!

I kinda liked being the test dog.  Here I am returning my land bird.  I only went to visit the throwers once.

I listened really good to mom and after visiting, I came right back.  Everyone was so impressed!

It was very warm so I did take a bit of a longer swim.
I brought it back to mom, but I did take my time.  I enjoyed the cool water.

I was very good and mom was very proud of me.  I only yipped once in excitement!

After the WC I cruised through the downtown as I left town.

One last pass by the arch and I was out of there!
