I woke up refreshed and tried
to decide where to go. That's when I remembered the Croc Hunter!
I'd go visit the Australia Zoo. Steve's a wacky kind of guy.
I bet he'd like a Lab in a Weinermobile. I took off for Queensland.
Word must have gotten out that I was coming because I
was met at the park gates by none other than Steve Irwin himself.
|
"G'day Mate, welcome to Australia
Zoo. We're honored that you came to visit us." |
They were so friendly! I knew I was going to have
a good time here. I met the staff and Steve's wife Terri brought
me my own little zoo outfit.
I grabbed a couple of parrots and
posed for a picture.
Pretty cool, huh? |
|
The Irwins put me to work immediately. Steve showed
me how to feed a croc and I went to it.
|
CRIKEY! That was a close one! |
We had to move one of the crocs so Steve told me how to
jump on them to keep them quiet.
Hey I did it! I need to think about
my own TV show after this one. |
|
|
Next came the snakes. This was
a bit more dangerous and I had to concentrate. |
I waited for the perfect moment and leaped
to grab it! |
|
|
Dang I'm good! Steve was a bit
upset that I proved to be just as good as he was at this sort of thing. |
Word soon got out that there was another Croc Hunter in
town and many people came to take my picture.
This is the publicity shot that made
its way into the papers.
Animal Planet, the TV station, called asking if
I wanted my own show.
I told them I'd get back to them on that.

|
Before I left Australia Zoo, Steve said
he wanted a ride in the Weiniemobile. |
After I dropped him off, I headed back to where I had
swiped the Weiniemobile. I parked it back in the garage area and
got out of there quickly. I picked up the Woodie at Teddy's.
I said my goodbyes to my friends and took off.
As I went through the harbor at sunset, the Opera
House was lit up.
I headed east. Back towards Hawaii. |
|
Next stop.............stay tuned!
