FAQ
How much does a web site cost?
There are a few factors that are going to affect the ultimate
cost of your web site. These factors include how many pages
you are going to have. You will also need web hosting and
domain name registration.
How long does it take to have a web site
designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site,
the complexity of your site design, and our current client
design schedule.
How long does it take to have updates done?
Again, it depends on our current client schedule. Updates
are generally done on a first come, first serve basis.
We get to them as quickly as we can and will let you know
if it will be more than a few days.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose
and register with a registrar of domain names ending in .com,
.edu, and .gov. For example, our domain name is “wetdogsdesign.com”.
Can you register my domain?
We do not manage domain names. We suggest using godaddy.com
What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a monthly/yearly fee that you pay to have your
site accessible on the Internet. We recommend e-rice.net
for our clients.
Why can’t I find my web site in the search
engines?
Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines
they may require several months to actually spider and list
your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed
depends on each individual Search Engines database update
schedule. We will make sure your site has the META tags
needed. You can submit your site to various
search engines. Most are fee based.
Web Site Content - What Do I Put On My
Site?
That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run
a business website you would include as much information about
your products or services that your customers would need to
purchase from you.
Who owns the completed Web site?
Once the final payment is received, you will receive 100%
ownership of your Web site.
